Vehicles GuideVehicles are new to UT2004, and although you'll primarily use them in Onslaught mode, some also are featured in Assault and others can show up on other types of maps. 
You can switch to first-person view in most vehicles by hitting F4, you can also zoom your view by using the mousewheel. And remember you can heal damaged vehicles with the link gun, and take control of enemy vehicles if they've used the vehicle previously.

Scorpion
The Scorpion is a fast little jeep, useful for getting around fast and taking out groups of enemies scampering about on foot. Seats: One 
Primary Attack: Plasma Ribbon - Hold down to charge for more power. 
Secondary Attack: Retractable blades - Useful for taking out crowds foot soldiers, but be careful: they can snap off. 
Jump: Brake - You can do a 180 spin by using the brake and steering to the side. 
TIPS: Scorpion's are incredibly useful for clearing out enemies crowded around disputed power nodes. Android games in laptop.
It's best not to deploy your blades until the last minute, otherwise targets have a better chance of dodging. Also, when your blades are deployed, your steering mobility decreases. 
A fully charged plasma ribbon can do up to 300 damage points. Plasma bursts are most effective against Mantas, since the plasma is attracted to the Manta's fans. Also, plasma ribbons aren't very effective from long range. 
Manta
The Manta is a speedy little dual-fanned hovercraft-type thing. Seats: One 
Primary Attack: Plasma Casters - Be careful, it does splash damage, and you can hurt yourself if you shoot into nearby walls. 
Secondary Attack: Stompdescend - See below. 
Jump: Ascend 
TIPS: Jumping boosts the Manta into the air, while alternate fire (or crouching) causes it to descend rapidly. With a little practice, you can 'Manta stomp' enemies, slicing off their heads or crushing them. 
If an AVRiL rocket is coming your way, try jumping up, then stomping just before the rocket is about to hit. If you time it right, it'll miss you. 
Teammates can ride on the wings, so the Manta can be a very useful transport. 
Raptor
The Raptor is sort of a futuristic helicopter with great mobility. Seats: One 
Primary Attack: Plasma Projectors - Be careful, it does splash damage, and you can hurt yourself if you shoot into nearby walls. 
Secondary Attack: Missile 
Jump: Ascend 
Crouch: Descend 
TIPS: Missiles are especially effective against other air vehicles, such as Raptors and Mantas, because the missiles automatically lock-on to them. 
Some players like to fly the Raptor sideways: it's easier to dodge attacks this way. Also, you may find first-person mode (default F4) much more useful for precision aiming. And remember that you can shoot down AVRiL rockets. 
When fighting Goliaths, try hovering directly above them: be careful, they can shoot you down. 
Hellbender
Purpose-built for both anti-vehicular and anti-personnel combat, the Hellbender offers strong maneuverability, heavy armor and powerful weaponry. Powered by a neutron-induction reactor, both weapons on the Hellbender deliver a considerable punch. Seats: Three 
Primary Attack (Driver): Horn - Honking the horn orders nearby friendly bots to jump in and man the turrets. 
Primary Attack (Side Turret): Sky Mines 
Secondary Attack (Side Turret): Shock blast 
Primary Attack (Rear Turret): Twin beams - Hold down to charge for more power. 
Secondary Attack (Rear Turret): Zoom 
Jump: Brake - You can do a 180 spin by using the brake and steering to the side. 
TIPS: You can easily do powerful chained shock combos with the side turret: shoot out a bunch of sky mines with primary and then shoot near one of the orbs with secondary. Since the sky mines move slow, this is more effective if the Hellbender is stationary or moving slowly. 
Don't hog the Hellbender for yourself: it's far more useful if you have help. But you can switch between the turrets and driving with the 1, 2, and 3 keys (by default). 
Goliath
The Goliath is a slow, yet incredibly powerful tank. Very useful for assaulting enemy power nodes. Seats: Two 
Primary Attack (Driver): Rocket 
Secondary Attack (Driver): Zoom 
Primary Attack (Gunner): Machine Gun 
Secondary Attack (Driver): Zoom 
TIPS: If you're on foot, it's possible to take out a Goliath by jumping on top of it and firing away at the turret. But be careful: if the enemy turret touches you, you'll be crushed. 
Teammates can ride on top of a Goliath. If you get two linked-up teammates healing the tank while on the attack, you'll be tough to take down. 
Leviathan
The Leviathan is a huge, powerful, transforming monster tank. Watch out. Seats: Five 
Primary Attack (Driver): Homing missles 
Secondary Attack (Driver): Deploy/Withdraw main weapon 
Primary Attack (Turret): Fire lasers 
Secondary Attack (Turret): Optical Zoom 
TIPS: Take into consideration the time needed to transform the Leviathan into the main cannon mode. If you come under attack by a swarm of enemies, its better to drive away slowly while firing into the group with your missles, rather than taking a beating by staying still. 
If you are ambushed while deploying the main weapon (which takes a while), don't forget you can still fire your homing missles or switch to one of the four turrets. This will help to fend off attackers until you get the big gun deployed. 
Also, if you only have a few people on your team, don't load everyone into the Leviathan. Sure, you might obliterate anything you come accross, but the movement speed of the vehicle makes it hard to cover multiple power nodes and gain any ground. Go for a fully loaded Leviathan ONLY if you have at least 10-12 players on your team.

There are various kinds of turrets, but they're all used for the same purpose: defense. You can only use the turrets of power nodes you control. Seats: One

TIPS: You can heal turrets with the link gun, just like vehicles.

Here's another tip. When you're in any vehicle, remember that you can always run over the enemy. When you're in the Hellbender, this is especially useful if you don't have gunners. 
 Also, if you fall off a cliff or something like that, you can jump out of the vehicle you're in. If the vehicle lands upside-down, it will right itself in a few seconds.
 And last, if you're in a flying vehicle (esp. Raptor), you can fly directly above something and bomb it with the vehicle by getting out.

This is a great page. The honking on the Hellbender is really useful; next time I'm on, I'm gonna try switching from turret to driving. I also just had my first passenger ride on a Manta.
